Day 831 The word Unity

So looking at this word Unity: what first comes up is United States. So if we really live the word Unity, then we wouldn't stop at just united states, but continue to say united countries or united world. I suppose that is what United Nations is. What does it mean to live unity? I suppose on a superficial level we can say that we are the United States, but are we united? What does it mean to live Unity? How about the opposite? We are the Separated States, or the separate countries. We all live in separation. Would we prefer that? Do we enjoy our individuality, and our separateness? Do we prefer that distance between us? What does it mean for us to live Unity? What about within us as individuals? Are we united within this body and mind? Are we united in our self? What would that look like? I think that once we understand what it means to be united within our individual selves, will we then more clearly see how to be united as people. Because unity is an expression. And ...

Day 777 Friendship

We are all friends. What divides us is our acceptance and allowance of separation. We have separated ourselves from each other, and so thus from joy. We have suppressed the vision/understanding that all are one and equal as me. We have forgotten the point where we all are one and equal and thus this is where true happiness lies, it lies within us being our true selves. True self means we are living the truth. The truth of who we really are. I have lost my way, and I am trying to fight my way back to the truth. Here is one point of truth. To realize who you really are, requires you realizing as well that you cannot leave anyone else behind. You need to dedicate yourself to showing others the way out and to help them. To merely say you have realized yourself and that's it, and you live a happy life for yourself, you know that's a lie. This is incompatible with the truth that all are one and equal, and the very foundation of your expression and all that exists is oneness and e...

Day11 - Depression as Cynicism and Pessimism

Today I learned that I have been feeling depression as Cynicism and Pessimism that the a world that is best for all won't happen. I felt this way as a reaction to seeing people give up, argue for their limitations, not willing to change, look at a point, or learn from it. It came from seeing people talking about money, and the natural world like its a dead thing. I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to feel depression when seeing people talk about the nature as a dead thing and talk about how important money is. I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to feel depression when I see people argue for their limitations and refuse to investigate themselves further. I also feel this way when people tell me how a world that is best for all is not possible. I also feel angry as I try to tell them why it is. I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to feel depressed when people tell me that a world that is best for all is not possible. I forgiv...

My Happiness

My happiness... Most people will say when you ask them that what they want out of Life is to be Happy. That is their goal. That is their dreams and aspiration. To be happy, find happiness. In practical context this may mean something like finding a job they like to do, or having a family, finding the one love, making plenty of money. To this I say that the happiness that you seek where you are the center of attention, is not a happiness you will feel happy with for very long, it will be fleeting. It will slip through your fingers and you will have no control over it. It will leave you. Because you are not the center of attention of Life. All of existence is equally the center of attention, as a fundamental truth of existence. This is a law that can never be changed because the very existence of Life itself demands it. So to break this law means consequence and requires an illusion, the illusion being that you can place yourself in your mind as being the center of attention of Life...

Day 42 The Physical, Continued

The Earth, the air, the water, the land, the nature, the plant. Animals, the body, the muscles, organs, cells. Physical. To serve this physical reality. To serve this body. To live for the physical. Living as the physical. Living as the hands, arms, legs, toes, chest, breath, body. Moving, doing what is needed for the physical. Imagine people living as Physical. Imagine all physical needs taken care of. Imagine growth and expansion of the physical. Imagine the nurture, care of the physical. Imagine Living as the physical. Imagine living no more as mind. Imagine Living no more as what we think. Imagine all definitions we think, opinions we think DROP. Imagine Only Being Here, Physical. Imagine only the physical is here. Lets stop serving the mind, and instead use the Mind to serve the Physical. No more separation.

Day 7 Equal Love

When I had a partner I told her that I love her equally. We were talking about how come we loved each other, and I told her, "In truth I know that I could love anyone equally, meaning that it just happens to be you, but it could have been anyone." Suffice to say, NO ONE, in present times, would want to hear that. What do people want to hear, they want to hear how you are special, how you are so beautiful, so wonderful, so precious. My father even tried to teach me that. So this is no secret. But I didn't do that in that moment. For me, I tried not to add any energy to the relationship. I tried to maintain oneness and equality. Because relationships based on specialness or unequal love, is a lie. If you love anyone more than anyone else, that is a lie. Equal love is true love. Equal love is loving everyone equally. This isn't a grand statement. You don't try to increase the energy within you to feel love for everyone. You actually decrease the energy within you...

Balance

If you look at the size of populations of animals in an ecosystem, you notice an interesting thing. Balance is always achieved through time. This is something I learned in my biology class. You can probably find this for yourself by searching for animal populations and Biology online. Basically, you will see if one population is larger or smaller, it will affect the other populations. Let's take an example. You have a predator like a Lion, and you have a herbivore like a Gazelle. So lets say that there are very few Lions. How does this affect the Gazelle population do you think? In case you didn't know, the Lion's eat the Gazelle for food. What biologists have observed and recorded is that the population of Gazelle will increase when there are fewer predators to hunt them. But later in time, what happens is that the Lion population will grow because the Gazelle population has grown so much. Presumably this is because it is much easier to catch a Gazelle because there are ...

You have Cow Eyes

Image
You have cows eyes. Would you want to be told this? It turns out that this was actually a compliment of beauty back in the day. Because if you ever see into the eyes of a real cow, it is one of the most beautiful things.  And back in the day, people were more connected to agriculture, and to cows and farms. For example, before the industrial revolution. about 90% of the population in United States worked on farms or agriculture. And today, less that 5% work on farms. So there has been a major shift. People now adays have lost the presence of nature in their everyday life, and they have distorted views of the natural world. For example, calling someone a cow, is considered an insult. So is calling someone a pig. This shows how lost and separate we are from these animals. Beauty itself has become distorted, where ugliness and beauty are tied to a creation that is outside of ourselves. Namely, the fashion industry, and beauty industry. We are told and shown what is beautif...

What does Movies, Stories, Friendships, Relationships have in common?

So what does Movies, stories, friendships, relationships have in common? They all have the potential for you to learn something valuable useful. And they all cannot show you or teach you every lesson that you will learn. Each can only show you only so much, and it is often just one, two, or a few points at a time. Even the most wisest and accomplish person can only show you just a little of what they have lived. Partially this is because of physical restraints, and also because of what lesson you are ready for now. A person cannot hear or understand something they are not ready for. A lesson is something that you must hear and see for yourself. You might pick up something that no one else saw before. That is because of who you are, and what you needed to see and hear. In truth there is no great or perfect movie, story, friendship or relationship. Where it is something concrete, and like a fixed image. There is only what YOU, Yourself can be and become that will allow you to pick ...

Nutella is evil? Or are we judging? 291

Image
http://www.weather.com/science/environment/news/nutella-okay-to-eat-greenpeace-french-controversy-deforestation "Just days after Nutella came under fire for allegedly contributing to tropical deforestation and global warming, the environmental organization Greenpeace came to the producer's defense. Earlier this week, during an interview with French cable channel Canal+, French ecology minister Segolene Royal left Nutella lovers aghast when she called for a boycott of the hazelnut spread, saying, “We must stop eating Nutella because it’s made with palm oil.” Royal  blasted Italian company Ferrero , producer of Nutella, for its use of palm oil – a key ingredient in Nutella –  saying it leads to deforestation. This devastation leads to the release of carbon into the atmosphere, a key contributor to global warming, Royal said But Greenpeace says boycotting Nutella , or any other product made from palm oil, will not solve the problem. The organization says p...

Survival of the fittest

Image
So similar to my last blog on Descarte and his famous and widely used phrase: "I think therefore I am," I will be looking at another famous phrase and person. Today I will look at Charles Darwin and the phrases associated with him. So what comes to mind when you read "survival of the fittest?" Do you think about competition, or the brutality of winning, or survival, or a Dog eat Dog world, the strongest survive or win. So these themes are relevant, but there is something else people think about. Did you think about a group of people killing others, or gaining some benefit at the expense of others? Did you think of selfish acts, or hurting others to get what you want? So these are all points existent within us. It turns out, Darwin wasn't one of them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Darwin#Evolutionary_social_movements Darwin's fame and popularity led to his name being associated with ideas and movements which at times had only an indirect relation ...

What's the deal with science today? Can we trust science or not? Day 193

Image
So I watched a Ted talk the other say, though this one is unique. This one was banned. You might ask yourself, what kind of video would it have to be for Ted to ban it? Violence? Horror? Promoting hatred? Nope, it actually is about how limited science is, and how many scientists, and people of the modern world have a belief system when it comes to science. The presenter presents these beliefs or dogmas that people have. One of them being that everything is mechanical and dead, and we humans are the only conscious living things. For me personally, everything this man said is something I observed early on in my life. Science has become a religion. How people talk about scientific facts, they talk in a sense of being absolutely right and not even a chance of being wrong, and to question them would make you seem stupid in their eyes. When really, when you study the principles of what science stands on, you can't have 100% facts or statements. Every statement is a true statement, a...

The Animal Kingdom Day 187

Image
"I am one and equal to my dog Shana" Read this blog for context: http://yoganjourneytolife.blogspot.com/2014/10/what-has-been-forsaken-and-forgotten.html So when walking my dog Shana, like today, I try to keep pace with her. Meaning I am not too far ahead or behind her. I try to allow her to explore and go where she wants. I say try, because sometimes I require to direct her, which I do, when I see its important. One danger, is that she would fight with a female dog. Dogs of the same sex, female-female, or male-male, tend to fight. It hasn't happened in a long time, but it could happen. So I do have to be aware of the surroundings. Also when we cross streets, I need to make sure she does it quick enough to avoid an accident with the cars. We also cannot walk for forever, so I do guide her back and bring her back home. The same principles described here, I see being relevant to all other contexts of my life. For example, I require to guide and direct myself sometimes, ...

day80- Difficulty of being yourself + self-forgiveness

Working with others can be very difficult. For me, I often become a different person than when I am alone. One thing that is easy for me to forget is that I am always alone with myself. I prefer to be this person always, because I am standing by myself always. I have not been myself for the last 9 months. I took myself to the metaphorical sacrificial altar to sacrifice myself in the name of the money system, in order to sell myself out, to "know who I am" according to a position in the system of money or education. I highly do not recommend sacrificing yourself. You lose everything and more. You become blind, deaf, and senseless all at once. To others you appear happy. Indeed, it is the only way to cope with the betrayal. It became a free-for-all for the systems of the mind. As I write this I am forgiving all the charges I see that I have placed on my words. So, one thing that has happened is that my words have received positive and/or negative charges. I have a tendency to sa...

Day 53: We are the Environment

Image
So continuing with the discussion of what is best for all...          I was looking at this situation, there is a being who is in this world with many other beings. This world is here, its stable from a rule based perspective. Physics describe the physical rules. There are many many different stable relationships in the physical and many different substances and interactions that occur in predictable fashions. I made a comment or claim to another being once that humans should aspire to be like a tree. I mean this in the sense that humans learn commitment and stability. Trees are committed to living in a way to simultaneously support themselves and the environment around them. They are clear in who they are, and trees together have an accumulative effect that support life and the environment. You see, without the environment humans would be nothing, life would be nothing. The environment is the physical, and it includes nature, and the animal king...

Day-28: Mechanistic Mind; What do we Miss in our Pursuit of Comfort?

Image
-->          Looking at how humans currently relate to animals and plants, we see the earth as a resource, an essentially dead thing. So too we treat the animals and plants on the earth where they readily are killed for our interest and profit. If you have not already I suggest watching Human Resources- Social Engineering in the20th Century, they make a point that our current philosophy is the mechanistic approach which capitalism embodies. We see humans as machines to be controlled as well as the animals, plants and earth itself. We see this embodied in many forms in entertainment, where super heroes, action movies, readily destroy things. A personal story related to this, I had as a child been very fascinated and enjoyed destruction where the very thought of buildings getting destroyed or fighting occurring where the entire environment would get beat up and all this action, and technology would be firing… it was exciting. All th...
