Day 743 People

Image
People people will hurt you, cut you, punch you, make you cry, steal from you, make of you... make you laugh, cry with joy and love, sing, dance, play around, become goofy, explore different parts of yourself, smile and feel overjoyed! I always knew when I would open up to people that it would get to me. That I would have this thing which seems like weakness. Its gonna suck. Its gonna hurt. And I know it. I am in uncharted territories, I mean there's no guidelines here or rules on how to be or what's best. I only have myself in this. Am I making a mistake with this? Do I know what I am doing? I don't know. But I think that's its okay that I don't. At the same time... at the same time it feels right. Its my unique way of relating to people and supporting people. Its my expression. I guess. God it sucks, it sucks so bad to be kicked, to be screwed with. But at the same time its so good to connect, to reach out and laugh and say something. So FUCKING good....

Day 46 The Surprise in Music and Dance

This blog, I'm going to be remembering and sharing something good, something I would like to. What's great about music/dance is the surprise moment in it. The moment requires your full attention! When you are dancing with someone in a partner dance, someone is leading and someone is following. BOTH! Have to pay attention. I have lead dances and so its not boring I have to pay attention and play with it. I play with the rhythm, the pattern of the music I am dancing to. The fun part is listening to the music, following the beat and then BREAKING IT, and then going back INTO IT, and matching the beat, and then SURPRISING the person your dancing with. Are they HERE???  Are they paying attention? Can they FOLLOW? If I go fast now can they match it. If I go SUPER SLOW can they match it. Will they get annoyed? Are they disciplined? Can they be here in the moment? All of these things are revealed when I lead. And if they are a great follower, then I can really enjoy dancing. I kn...

Pain & Joy

I noticed something. I bought some soda and was drinking it regularly the last week. I noticed something weird in my body. I had a lessened sensitivity to pain. It was weird. I later checked and caffeine does decrease the sensitivity of pain receptors. I never had so regularly drink caffeine. It was weird. Though it does bring up an important topic to talk about, and that is Pain. Normally, there is just pain throughout different parts of my body. And it is normal. Its not this immense pain, but then again its how you look at it too. Its the normal pain of just being alive and being physical. It is also the key to being sensitive to physical reality. It is being highly alert, or lets just say alert. In the same way that is how you enjoy the physical reality through physical senses. Enjoying the feel of the wind on your skin or the feel of water, or just the feel of laying down on a surface. It is all through physical senses. And where you are aware of what it feels through the body, ...

Day 15 Enjoying the physical

So I have been enjoying the physical. Enjoying the physical sound of music. Enjoying the feeling of my hand outside my car driving, feeling the wind. Being here in my body and addressing/stopping any physical pains. Enjoying the feeling of water on my body while showering. Enjoying the feeling of the cloth in bed. Enjoying the flavor and taste of pickles, bread, cheese. Enjoying the physical sun. Enjoying breathing heavily while working outside. Enjoying paying attention and focusing on a physical project and making it the best outcome. Enjoying playing a trick/joke on other people. Enjoying myself/alone. Enjoying my presence. Enjoying my gentleness and softness. Enjoying my ability to move and express anything I want to express in the moment. Enjoying my ability to work long hours. Enjoying my complete intimacy and depth with myself. Enjoying my own sound while singing. Enjoying my own dance while dancing. Enjoying the feel of my own clothes. Enjoying all of physical reality, in my ...

You laugh at Yourself 336

Image
For quite some time I have reacted to various popular tv shows and movies. These include the simpsons, Family guy, and such movies as Ted, or A Million ways to die in the west. Now, having reflected on what I am reacting to and how I am reacting to, I can see now what is actually happening. We as humanity are laughing at characters that are psychologically deranged, crazy, or have some serious mental illness or faults. These individuals lack commonsense, principles, and are often driven purely by base reaction, and desire for self-pleasure and self-interest. They are narrow-minded, limited, and completely egotistical, and conform to arbitrary rules and authority as if lacking the ability to see and analyze the world around them for what it is. These are characters that are often driven by sex, within self-interest and disregard for the one you are having sex with. They often are self-loathing, self-debilitating, self-destructive, selfish, etc... They lack all care and regard for the ...

Parties, people, noise, commotion 320

So in line with the recent posts and audio recordings, I am continuing with this topic of being overly agitated/activated/energetic. Now, like I had shared, many thing throughout my day activate/trigger me into this hyped up state. So on this topic alone I could write many blogs. Today's blog will be able social situations and gatherings, because today I faced this point. Now I have to be specific about the context here. So basically in a moment/middle of a conversation that is flowing, meaning that you speak and others respond to what you say, and in that moment you can respond to what they said in response. So this excludes moments where conversations don't flow or they drop flat, or they don't move. And in situations where there are no conversations, like everyone is sitting nearby one and another and not interacting. So that's the context. So in this moment, I become energetic, excited, motivated. This turned on like a light switch and energetic state. I am be...

Joking around or creating consequences

Image
So this week I was looking at the topic of comedy and humor. And lo and behold, there were two videos on facebook that are suppose to be hilarious pranks. Now, really even though some people may consider it funny, it does not mean it is acceptable simply because it is funny. In fact, these two pranks are not acceptable. Links https://www.facebook.com/gmercado.luna/posts/10152898259406039 https://www.facebook.com/gmercado.luna/posts/10152898258581039 So the pranks are throwing a pie in someone's face, and scaring someone with a tiger. So the reason why these pranks as jokes as something funny is not acceptable is because of the unpleasantness of having whipcream smeared all over your face, and the belief that you may die, respectively. There is no lesson or message to be heard, and the other person does not have fun. These are jokes/pranks at the expense of the other person. These kinds of jokes, should be illegal, especially in this case where it is publicize and money i...

Important Leaders need to dance Tango 283

Image
So I decided today that I am going to be sharing something FUN. So this is really for those who haven't danced partner dances before. So some partner dances include salsa, ballroom dance, waltz, and ... tango. So I have experience dancing tango for some years, on and off. I can say my teacher was very cool and he had perhaps the best approach you can take with Tango, so I felt very well prepared, and understood the principles of the dance well, and applied them well. So his name is Alex Krebs and he resides in Portland Oregon for those who are lucky enough to have access to his classes. But what I can do here is to share the principles of the dance. The principles themselves, you will see, are principles that you can apply in your daily life. So its really quite interesting. Keep reading to see. So while I cannot substitute for Alex's or even just a tango teacher's instruction, I can share what I have learned from tango and what parallels it has with life. So the struct...

History of Games: Video games 221

Image
Video Games So I will be investigating video games, both in my life and in general. I will be looking at all the various perspectives around video games, ones that I have had, and popular ones shared by many. I will look at the positive and negative. The topic is an important topic to investigate especially with entire generations of children having grown up with video games, which includes myself. So what is a video game? Well.. it is a game. But it involves electronics, essentially to create the game. Games include board games, card games, sports etc... What makes video games distinct is that they involve electronics, such as tvs, to simulate moving pictures, and sounds to create, an interactive story, where a person is needed to play it for it to progress. For me I notice memorable video games evoking emotions, like any memorable book, music, or movie. Like other mediums, video games are acts of creation, meaning they are created. They have the potential for eduction as well ...
