Who will stand to make our future a reality? 321

Image
So I have been doing audio recording about LIG, and economic solutions. Now, during my day, when my attention is to this topic, about us needing to move to get economic solutions in place as soon as possible, I have this experience in my body. It's like my arms are surging with a power/strength. My eyesight becomes heightened and focused. My brain feels turned on and alert. I would be ready to tackle any problem or task, well, fast, and correctly. So this sort of relates to the topic of late about being turned on like a light all the time, except that this appears different. Before, I was still sort of tired, within being activated/stimulated. What I am experiencing is not tired. So this could be, theoretically due to me having rested, and taking rest breaks. So that when I am activated/focus that it is clear, focused, and directed. And I have been stopping myself from getting activated in cases like fear reactions, or overly happy reactions. And I have been practicing something ...

We need a Living Income 312

Image
Everyday, tens of thousands of people die from completely preventable situations. Why do they die? No money. They couldn't afford to live. This is what happens when you don't have the money. And you know this too. This is why you are in fear all the time. Fear of losing your job. Fear of not making the rent. Fear of not being able to pay your credit card debt, your bills. Fear that you will have some unfortunate medical accident, or car crash that completely ruins you financially, or worse that you can't afford it. There are plenty more fear surrounding money, that is just the tip of the iceberg what I mentioned. And maybe, you do get successful. Maybe, you get to retire. Maybe,  you are able to have a large enough savings account so that you can sleep soundly at night. But you know, that it is not enough. It is not enough to end your fear completely. It is still there. It has been there for so many years, you have no idea if you will ever be able to end it completely. It...

My story: why I support Living Income Part 2

Image
Previous Parts  My story: why I support Living Income Part 1 So continuing where we left off. It was during that time that I started searching on the web/internet for topics/words/phrases that I had feeling might lead me to some answers or new realizations. So there I was searching, and so willing to see/read something new, because what had been applying thus far, meditation, and stopping thoughts, wasn't working. And I was really determined you know? Like that is ALL that mattered, which was to change my experience of myself, permanently, not just for some hours, days, or some moments through some methods. I mean because that is what most of us do right? I mean, let's be honest here, that much of what we do in our free time is to make ourselves feel better for a while. Whatever it may be, be it drinking, drugs, gaming, partying, pornography, or whatever. I mean it can even be something that isn't so controversial, but it is still something we do to make ourselves fe...

My story: why I support Living Income Part 1

Image
So why do I support Living Income? Well, I haven't always supported living income. Today that I write this I am 24 years old, next month turning 25. When I was 18 years old, I believe Enlightenment is what Humanity needed, meaning that I had to become enlightened, like the gurus of India. This idea I had since I was very young around middle school especially (around 13 years old). But it had it roots earlier in that, from growing up with my parents, since as young as 7 years old, my mother and father taught us about meditation. So this is my story. How did I, someone who grow up in a spiritual family, who's parents both believed in enlightenment as the best course to take, and who himself believed so for practically 11 years, change his point of view, that we actually need to change not only ourselves, which is what enlightenment is about, but to also at the same time changing how the world works out there, what we call the System. And also, how did I then make enlightenm...

Woman took her life on day she was due to be evicted 227

What is Justice? http://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/courts/coroner-s-court/woman-took-her-life-on-day-she-was-due-to-be-evicted-1.2057107 Woman took her life on day she was due to be evicted   A woman found dead by sheriffs as they repossessed her home had overdosed on painkillers, an inquest has heard. the deceased’s father said he saw her on the Friday before she died and she was “perfectly calm, in top form”. He said that, if anything, her demeanor had “improved” in the previous three months. When asked by coroner Dr Brian Farrell whether her sister had mentioned the repossession, her sister said she had not. “I asked her multiple times, because I knew she was in and out of work, how she was paying it, if she was paying it and she was assuring me she had spoken to the bank. I had concerns. I asked her but she was convincing me all was fine,” she said.  ~~~  So do you see what happens when you don't have money? A woman was losing he...

What motivates me? Writing it down. 213

Image
So a few days ago, either 2 or 3, I wrote a blog about motivation, and what motivates to do what I do, live the principle I wish to live, that is what is best for all. So during the last few days, including today, more points that are motivating for me emerged. So I wish to share that today. Okay so one motivation is about the future. Where when I think about or aware about a utopia, essentially. A world where everyone's needs are met, where everyone supports one another, and is friendly with one another. This is why I have been motivated to read and understand the Living Income Guaranteed (LIG) proposal [ livingincome.me ] And that is also why I have been able to understand what it will take, and be willing to commit my life to that, and being able to sacrifice the freedom to pursue other things, because such a reality, even the possibility of it is greater than being guaranteed a personal life that is comfortable and entertaining. Because living income, and life, is not abo...

Creating the greatest happiness - A look into Mill's Utilitarianism (day 185)

Image
So I will be continuing with the Moral Philosophy theme that I started yesterday with a post on Kant's Categorical Imperative .  I mentioned Mill's Utilitarianism, which was another topic covered in my introduction to Ethics course in Reed College. Let me say that Mill's writing is much more clearer or easier to read than Kant's writings. I copied and pasted this from wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utilitarianism_%28book%29  ~~~~~ The essay is divided into five chapters, namely General Remarks; What Utilitarianism Is; Of the Ultimate Sanction of the Principle of Utility; Of What Sort of Proof the Principle of Utility is Susceptible; and On the Connection Between Justice and Utility. In the first two chapters, Mill aims to define precisely what utilitarianism claims in terms of the general moral principles that it uses to judge concrete actions, as well as in terms of the sort of evidence that is supposed to be given for such principles....

Mother and Father Series P1

So to further strengthen who I am and my position, I will be writing out the programs that my mother and father have given me as a child. Each program I can already guarantee, do not assist and expression of Life as who I am here, as all as one and equal. The closest my parents ever got was to oneness, and this oneness was not equal in all parts, it was still a hierarchy of specialness. So I will start with writing out all the programs first, I mean shit, within me, and in subsequent blog posts I will walk each program from start to end, with self-forgiveness, until its done. Ok, so one program is the "your just a child, you don't know anything program." Your just a child, you don't know anything So adults often think that they know more than children. Now this is mind-boggling to me because adults were children once. And I as a child remembered knowing more than the adults often in very basic living things. So its actually in reverse at the moment, children kn...

mONEy mONEy mONEy D106

So one cool opened up today pertaining to money. Everytime you spend money you are supporting someone. And everytime you hoard money, you are denying supporting someone with money. So money is like a support and its cool to realize that when you hire someone to help you out, that you are supporting them with a job and so money, which is a way for the person to now support him/her self. Of course money can be abused to get brainwashing things or support addictions/habits. But regardless some of that money will end up supporting the person’s basic needs. And with that support a person can overcome their addiction with effort and time, because once you have established a addiction, it takes time to get out of it, or learn how to stop. So that is why I support the LIG as a solution to provide everyone with the essential support they need, which without we would be end up in compromising situations. We have a right to live free from this planet and be provided with the t...
