Day 741 Being a good person in the eyes of society

Image
The human mind is an interesting thing. So those from Desteni know this, but most people don't know: about how interconnected your mind, thoughts, emotions and feelings are within everything you do, perceive and learn. It's the missing piece of the puzzle. If we were to structure a classroom, and a teacher and an environment that addresses the mind of individuals directly, which means challenging the thoughts, emotions and feelings of people, and pointing what is practical and decisions that are best for all... doing all of this so as to show each person who happens to be a child, that their mind is a thing that is moving that they can stop and that isn't them. And that they can choose to live something else and direct themselves. And that the only choice that is best can only be what is best for all. To understand the consequences of choices, and so the choices that limit consequence is best. Currently we operate our classroom and teachers without tackling the human...

Day 73 Being a part of the solution, instead of being part of the Problem

There are many things that one can say is wrong with the world. But one thing that happens is that people complain about what is wrong, and they only take it to there, just words that are complaining about the problem. But what is needed is sacrifice, commitment of your Life and your Time in some positive way that is practical that will inevitably bring about the end of the problem with a solution. It can be long term stuff. It can be where you spend your money. It can be saving your money and using it wisely in supporting people that are voices of changes. It can be directly volunteering, becoming a politician, starting a business, making a plan to work a certain job that provides you security and use that security to support others, uplift others. We each have strengths and inheritances. We are not all born equal or have access to equal opportunity. BUT we can BE equals, and SEE each others as equals, and so give this life all that we got, and we utilize our strengths and advanta...

Day 36 A Solution to a Problem

My purpose and Meaning.  My purpose is to work a 40 hr a week job, pay for my needs, give money to support the desteni process, in so doing I support with money the development of awareness in people/humanity. My purpose is to share myself online so that others walking process may be supported. My purpose and meaning is to express myself creatively as dance, music, art, singing, play, writing, joking, etc... I live my meaning and purpose everyday.  Who I am? I am my body, my being, my self-expression. I am the work I do, and the money I give. I am the song I sing, and movement I dance. I am the words I write and speak. I am the work I do, the blogs I write, the people that listen/read my words. I am expression. I am the support I give and receive. I am my job, my work, what I give to others. I am the moment I express in and live in. I am the process I walk to bring awareness within me, and within others. I am the self-forgiveness I speak and commitments I make. I ...

Day 21 Proactive Mental Health and Superior Self

Much of the Mental Health system is about the Reactive side of things. So like you won't be going to a mental health counselor to get the pointers to maintaining a good mental health. Some synonyms here in this context for good mental health could be: greater self-understanding, more directive in your life, a more stronger self, more perseverance, more courageous, not letting emotions/feelings take over your life, not falling into addictions, being more physical, enjoying the simple joys of life more, enjoying your body more, being more here and attentive to your life, have a deeper more intimate relationship with yourself. So in general, how we define mental health counselors, psychiatrists, and psychologists is that we go to them when we are really sick or really messed up in the head. We don't go to them for advice for proactive ideas for improving ourselves, but for reactive solutions to problems that took years upon years to create, or problems that arose from a traumati...

Day 40 The secret to live without being influenced is to stop influencing others

Solution: If you see someone is reactive, step out of their way. Meaning, if someone is sharing their viewpoint in a reactive manner, I myself want to stop their reaction. But you can't help someone to change if they don't want to. So learning to let go, is a big point to stop the "influence." If you let go of the person inside of you, which really means letting go of your reaction to the person's reaction, then what they say won't have any affect on you. So that letting go, stepping aside, moving out of the way, so you can let them face Life and learn through Life how they need to take responsibility for their emotions and feelings. So assist once, and assess whether they are able/willing/ready for help. If not, then step out of the way. Otherwise, you will fight with them, react with them, argue, sharing your opinions, and keep repeating yourself, and they keep repeating themselves, when the truth is you can't help them, even though you want to help. But...

Day 6 Judging because you think you know

Judging people before you get to know them. This leads to great suffering. Judgment. What is Judgment? Judgment is when you have a thought, a thought about something, and you believe it, and charge it emotionally. The truth doesn't need believing it just exists, and it exists without emotion or feeling. So judgment is not that.  How many times have judged something or someone. Maybe it is a group of people. Maybe its people with money, without money, beautiful people, ugly people, happy people, sad people, loners, popular people, friendly people, nasty people, spiritual people, pessimistic people. All of these words represent forms of judgment. Because there is no way one word can define an entire person. Looking at what was said yesterday, Evil needs to stop. So here Judgment is evil, and evil, the act of evil, and the thoughts must stop. Because this evil, judgment leads to suffering. How many opportunities did you screw up because of what you judged another to be, and ther...

Voting with Open-source Computer Programs

Every computer program has a source code. The source code is the instructions and building blocks of the computer program. A computer program (including its source code) that is open-source means that anyone can freely use it, so everyone is like the owner of it. The advantages of open-source include that no one can keep the source code secret, hidden or sell the code. This can be particularly useful to prevent manipulation or lying, since the source code is openly exposed. For example, when people vote using computers, the votes can be manipulated. One way to check for manipulation is to look at the source code. If the source code is private then you can be denied permission to see the source code. However if the source code is open source, then any person at any time anywhere is able to check the source code to look for any manipulation of the votes. Not only that, but people can actually contribute to make the code cleaner, organized, faster and simpler. For example, if you ha...

Allocation/Distribution of Money 339

The Allocation or Distribution of Money is a hot topic. When we talk about some group of people deciding how the money of a country is spent. Does that seem strange to you? Like, for example, let's say that I say to you, let us all get together, get organized and become the leaders that decide how money is spent in this country. Would that seem strange to you? Well, believe it or not, in every single country, and society, and within every level of government and business, someone or some group of people are deciding how ALL of the money is spent. Essentially every major decision is influenced by the funding. Now, why would it seem so crazy that citizens of a country or government come together to decide how money is spent, distributed or allocated? Is that so far fetched? Yet it happens daily, that someone who is a citizen, and also a politician is voting on how money is spent. They vote yes on wars, which is funded. So in reality, the sessions in congress, or your government...

What you feel about something doesn't matter 328

What you feel about something doesn't matter. What you feel about yourself... is not real. What I feel about myself... is not real. What you feel about trees, cars, dogs, people, doesn't matter. What you feel about things, is not real. What is real are the actual physical things that are here, that are in front of you, that you see, hear, touch, smell. That is real. What you feel about what is real, isn't real. It's like we are confused inside ourselves, where we believe that what we feel and react to and about what is real, makes what we feel and our reactions, real. It doesn't. What you feel about something is simply what you feel about something. It has no reality to it. It is simply reacting to what is here/real. How you feel about things, doesn't matter. How you feel about things, won't determine or become an action or solution. It is not part of the solution. How you feel about the solution, doesn't make it more of a solution. Taking t...

Messterpiece

In a previous blog post I said that I watched a documentary recently about women's current inequality. Since watching that documentary I saw a movie. I looked for the things mentioned in the documentary, like how all the women are in a very limited number of roles. Mainly women are there just to be a love interest for the man. Who she is is not someone independent of the man. Her definition is depended on being in love with the main character. Also the main character is a man. The man's role is also to be a provider. The man feels pressure to make money and provide. That is the man's role. So I notice this in the movie I watched. The women are also sex objects. The way they dress, how much they weigh, their makeup, how they talk, what they do, all relates to appear sexually, and desirable for the man. I'm not a woman, and I never really bought into the movies being real or representing what it means to live. I have seen movies, for the most part being dumb, and reveal...
