Day 770 Unconditional Expression

Image
I made a VLOG expanding on this topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECSasrCeXPc I heard a very interesting remark from a person and it led me to realize a few things. One thing is how we may approach a conversation or a moment of SHARING with a person and we may be approaching it within an agenda of being Persuasive and being Convincing. I can see in myself the pressure to be Persuasive ever since I was told by someone that I should be more persuasive when I speak. I was told this in a work context by a superior. And I remember it being quite odd/significant. There is something pure/real when we or any person simply shares directly what they see and how they see it without trying at all to convince you. And I have gone through a time in the World System as the Job market and Money system in Trying to be liked, and persuasive in order to sell things, and to in a way convince others to make peace or to be better. I can see in myself this pressure to speak in such a way where...

Video Games about managing money and the economy

Video Games about managing money and the economy.   Tropico 4 and Simcity were games I played that taught me aspects about our economy. How people in charge need to make sure there is a positive flow of money. What is interesting though is that as the population of a city increases the number of jobs need to be increased otherwise you will have unemployment. If there are people without jobs, they won’t receive money. And if they don’t receive money, they will turn to a life of crime. So the best way to combat crime is to make sure everyone has a job. In the city though, the population is always increasing because people are moving in and people are having children. So in the game, I am forced to continuously make up jobs for people to do, even if there is an overflow of money already. It would be great in this game if I can have people share in doing the same jobs that already exist, and equally receive the same amount of money for less work. Because in reali...

My wants come first, or do they?

So I have been reviewing my life and what I am realizing now, within my recent years the point of how I placed my desire of wanting to connect with people, to have social skills, first before what is best for all. So I did just that during the last 3 years after graduating college. I went after what I wanted. So this influenced my decisions where I tried to work within a sales position, to develop social skills. Then I worked at a school, also as part of my desire to connect with people. The result of placing my desire first before what is best for all meant that I choose things based on what I wanted, not what is best for all. I could have instead first placed what is best for all first, and then within that life path I could along the way get what I want. But then when I want would not come first or before what is best for all. So this is my lesson. Also really, in sales, I wasn't getting what I wanted, which was to really connect with people, intimacy, on a equal and one level...
