Learning 197

Image
Learning, coincidentally, is the name of a class I took in college, which is about the fundamental form of learning that occurs in many animals, including humans. And it in some way relates to what I wished to talk about today. So I had an interesting internal experience in the last 24 hours. Who I am, my demeanor, and my general experience of myself and my surroundings changed. There are many components of experiences. Some of them include: guilt, depression, sad, and hopeless. To spoil the ending now: I saw how learning about what is here, that action/movement, especially at a level of who I am, so it is natural and automatic, is important to assimilate and become/live. So I see the best way to explain this is by example. So in my real life experiences, someone said something to me, and I reacted/judge/assumed that to mean something indirect. So I took those thoughts/beliefs as real. Why? When that moment occurred, there was like a shift where I felt deep within me these experi...

Removing the words good or bad, and finding practicality - day 164

Posting something I shouldn’t have. Writing something I shouldn’t have. Causing harm through writing something self-dishonestly and publishing it. Doing harm. Doing wrong. Wronging myself. Harming myself. Being evil. I am Evil Character/Self-pity Character “I am evil” and I feel self-pity, a “OH NO!” “I can’t be EVIL, I just can’t.” I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to think adamantly I posted something I shouldn’t have. I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to think adamantly I wrote something I shouldn’t have. I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to think adamantly I am causing harm through writing something self-dishonestly, and publishing it. I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to think adamantly I am doing harm. I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to think adamantly I am doing wrong I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to think adamantly I am wronging mys...

Is there anything else to life than just feeling positive and negative? D100

Image
A while ago, I posted a blog about Reward and Punishment . Just like how the Desteni message explained about the positive and negative within the mind, the same thing works within reward and punishment. So Im going to talk then about this point that the positive and negative are used as a way to draw attention from what is really here or what is going on, the same way that reward and punishment is also used to remove self-responsibility, by drawing attention away from an individual's ability to direct and figure out what to do in a situation. So I will be comparing these two points and be providing examples for them.             So within the Desteni message and the principle it stands as as oneness and equality, the polarity of positive and negative is explained thusly. From my understanding from watching the interviews and reading the articles found from the Desteni website and the blogs and youtube accounts of the Destonians, ...

Introduction

So one of the purposes of this blog will be to expose the negative and positive within me and how those is being patterned within everyone. How we as individuals live in a systematic predictable way, using the positive and negative as the excuses to live so. So I will make posts on my use of the positive and negative and describe the systemic behavior, emotional, thought patterns within me. This is an open journey so I do not know what twists and turns I will make, however this is where I will start. It will be cool to write 100 posts on 100 different patterns/systems. So this is my commitment to do this cool thing.

Day 52: The Environment that is Best For All

Image
As a student who was intensely interested in Behaviorism (a.k.a. Learning), I was surprised that the other disciplines in psychology fell prey to unsubstantiated theories and claims that lacked physical/behavioral evidence. This is a discussion I will have throughout my blogs, right now, however, I will focus on laying down the foundations for how the environment plays it role with allowing/supporting/strengthening What is Best For All.                 Im going to jump into this discussion with something that was brought up in my psychopathology class. It has been documented in cross-cultural psychopathology studies, how social realms such as hunger, work, divorce/marriage, and poverty, contribute to mental disease, as defined by the DSM. I believe to remember that they referred to Anxiety as the main mental diseases that they found. So, as someone who is currently considering how the environment contributes to w...

Day 50: Science, Media, Knowledge, & Misrepresentations

Image
So in looking at the misrepresentations of science in the media, one thing that is often misunderstood is what psychology actually finds in their studies. A study could, for example, be researching obesity and linking this to depression. They may have 100 people report their weights, and based on some criteria to determine obesity, they link being over the "normal" weight to depression. What does it mean to link or associate or find a correlation. This means their is a signal that connects depression and obesity, which could either be that with more obesity their is greater depression (entails that lower obesity there is less depression) or with less obesity their is greater depression (entailing that with greater obesity there is less depression). Now this is all nice and all, though, however, what REALLY happened, is that a certain number of people showed SOME signs that there were SOME pattern with how depression and obesity occur. This DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING ELSE. Though ...
