How does it work? Fostering a connection with someone

Image
So I was doing some self-investigation today and I realized something. I was looking at human connections, and how I haven't realized that connections between people is something that is out of my control, or at least not completely in my control. Because what I am seeing when I reflect on my past is that I have a grievance in relation to perhaps 100 people, or many many people that I have met and known, where I wish, want, and blame myself for not keeping the relationship here, for it ending or not going further than it had. Though now with having a more discerning eye and self-honesty, I can see how in fact that for all human relationships that the connection you have is temporary. So for example I can see how 2 people meet and have a connection, and that connection will last any amount of time, it can be a second, a day, a week, a month, a year, or more. That initial connection forming is out of the hands of the people. For example, someone can't decide just to have a con...

Reflection: Daily Blogging Commitment: What are the benefits? Why should/would I blog daily? 220

So right now I am reflecting on daily blogging. For the past 2 weeks or so, I have been blogging almost everyday. I did make a schedule for myself where I included daily things to do, and it took some time and effort, but I have been fairly successful. I see that within having a history now of blogging for about 2 weeks, that I don't want to stop or break the cycle, that I want to keep going, and perhaps see how far I can go. So its like a motivation that comes with momentum or an acceleration that occurs similar to an exponential growth. And one thing too. I am able to easily relate and connect to the recent blogs I have written, and so I am seeing overall patterns and connections between events/moments in my daily life to recent moments/events, such as the blogs on self-worth. I find too that when I am writing certain words down, or topics, especially as I write them down on different days, and so repeat these words, I am instilling the words inside myself, like they are bec...

A Diligent List -day 150

Today I made a list of things to do. I had started with the idea, “what if I lived the same day everyday” and saw how good that can be for me, if I lived such a wonder-full and full day. So that was my starting point, to play pretend, as a fun way to write the list, and I would be making the commitment to repeat each thing every day. As a practical matter, some things on the list can only be done on specific days of the week, such as taking out the garbage or watering the plants only when it hasn’t rain in a while. But I still wrote those kinds of responsibilities or task, because I could then at least check whether those conditions for those tasks have been met for today. So I started with waking up, as both an action and an event of the day. So when I wake up I will have a routine to accomplish. When writing the list I was not strict in having to do things in that order, however, while I am practicing performing these tasks, I will go in order until I have integrated the t...
