Day 891 Where does our separation from our Fellow Man come from?

So there's something that I have realized about when people go through trauma. The common response by people who go through trauma says that it changes them. And what I see is that one of the reasons why it changes them is because they are feeling certain things that they don't know how to stop. And this includes anger and blame. And the mere suggestion that people who go through traumatic events forgive their abuser, is already scoffed at, let alone the suggestion that they forgive themselves for the anger and hate/blame that they feel. I suppose it makes perfect sense in this humanity that we are today that we don't know how to go through an event like trauma, and be able to process it and revert back to how we were. Because if we did so then we would remain like children. We would be naive, we would be pure, and open hearted, and we would still believe crazy things like no one should be harm, and all life is precious, and all people are equal regardless of any differenc...

Day 827 The Words

Black Lives Matter The fight to bring justice and reform is important. To protect the lives of people is important. To remove those who don't live with integrity, honor and respect all life from positions of power is important. Currently our culture has been one of money and power. Those who have money, have the power. I have heard proposals of defunding police departments and reinvesting in services such as mental health hotlines that would be first responders designed to handle mental health situations. And to create other such services that can respond instead of the police where force is unnecessary. Force should always be a last resort and it must be wielded respectfully and by those with the utmost integrity and deserving of trust. It is a honorable position, or at least is should be. Obviously that honor has been lost. I think about what if I were to join a police department and be a police officer. Would I be the only good man there? Meaning, that I am looking to be ki...

Day 796 The Seventh Door- Our Collective Falling or Collective Rising

I am terrified of losing my purpose/vision.... of seeing everyone fall... of seeing it all come to nothing... to see everyone give up... and to lose my vision of everyone's potential and all that we can be. I am afraid of being completely alone. Bernard said how its about the collective, and its about the collective rights that are individually applied. And how its not about the individual, but about the collective. The quote is here: "It is not about agreement or the individual, it is about the collective within the consideration of eternity and consequence. In this the individual will be forced to consider the collective and consequence will be according to what the individual accepts as the collective. UNTIL the individual accept EQUALITY as the Principle for ALL within the Collective. The enforcement of Equality is by no other means, But through consequence , as the Nature of the Collective is EQUALITY while the nature of the Individual is Inequality. Thus understand...

Day 772 Our Relationship with Animals

Here I will be addressing our relationship with Animals. Us as the all of us. All of us human beings and how we relate to animals. It shouldn't be a surprise yet it will be a surprise nonetheless that our relationship with animals is filled with separation. Often we immediately look at the points of Animal Extinction, Exploiting animals for profit, factory farming, physically abusing animals. Obviously all of this is indicating some form of separation that is going on, I mean there has to be right? But its not that simple. How people respond normally is within judgment of good/bad. People think that if there is going to a criticism of some people, that some people have to be the bad guys and that some acts are simply bad. Those whoever that truly live by and work side by side animals like Fully and like Completely know that good/bad and morality are not real things that animals understand or live. Animals do kill one another, sometimes to eat the other, other times because of t...

Day 748 - Unlocking your Hidden Beauty - through self-expression

Image
When I was a child my aunt told me very specifically how a woman can be very beautiful, but be very nasty, ugly on the inside. Since then I have had that view of who a person is is what counts most of all. Also why the desteni process and focus on SELF, and who you are is the most important thing there is. Real beauty as expression has nothing to do with Energy- Energy as the Mind- Energy as Feelings- Anything about Positive connotations etc... Not good or bad as energy/emotion/feeling or judgment. If you start with this starting point then you will be able to explore what Beauty is as an expression.... But until you do that, you will only have an IDEA about what beauty as self-expression is. There's no amount of thinking or preparation needed. Just start in the individual moments---- if you have any energy movements with regards to anyone's image/appearance, good or bad, STOP IT. Keep doing that, and don't stop. Eventually you will get to the point and understand. ...

Day 28 You are a piece of Life!

Day 50 The word Family: Changing Freedom to Accountability

What is held within the word family? What is the information that we carry within from our life experience that is stored within the word family? Your Life Experience, this Word, the Information, all of it will be activated and lived/possessed when it is turned on. The word is turned on with the proper triggers. Your family will always be your family. When you compare how you behave, what you physically say, how you sound when you are speaking as and within the word Family, to when you are not, there is a difference. When you meet a stranger, when you meet someone for the first time, there is much respect and civility. How come with the people we have known the longest, our family, can the really worst of us, the really evil of us can exist? Maybe its because we have defined our family as always being our family, and that no matter what we say or do to them, or they unto us, that they will always be our family, so it is okay, because they love you DEEP down. When it comes to fami...

A recipe for satisfaction

A moment that is truly amazing, completely satisfying and undeniably empowering, is... a moment where you look at the situation, you see the people in the situation, you see beyond the people that are in the situation to see the support base that allows for Human beings to exist, you see the depth and layers of the setting of the situation, which is the Earth, and with such a clear picture of everything that exists, you see how each point, segment, part, morsel, is no greater, or lesser... no more important, no more essential... no more integrated, no more special.... than any other point, segment, morsel or part. So in fact, each is equal, and one within the whole, big or small.

You were once a Child

Here is a fact: take the most badass, meanest, toughest, scruffiest, harsh person on the planet. A person so harsh and violent that they would kill a child or baby just for fun. You take that person, and realize this simple truth, when they were born they were just a baby, and they were innocent and pure. This is true for all of us. This is true for the strongest of us, the smartest of us, the dumbest, the most "evil" and most "good." We were born equally in this way/regard. It is true though however, that we are not born the same. Some are born with mental or physical handicaps. Some are born with diseases. And our genetics do have an influence on us in some very unimportant superficial ways, and in some more consequential visible ways. Yet we are all still born innocent and pure. The concepts or character of being a badass, mean, tough, scruffy, or harsh doesn't exist in anyway whatsoever, at least apparently so. Any person that will murder, will be ...

Meeting someone where they are at

So in life, you will meet all sorts of people. Some will be rare individuals that find the nugget of truth within everything that is shared/spoken. Others will be the more common person that tends to hold onto what is their normal beliefs. The question to ask in any moment is who am I in this moment? Because you have the choice to meet someone, no matter who they are, according to where they are at, and so not according to you, or to your likes, preferences etc... So you do put them first. What does this mean practically in reality? That you speak to them on their level, within their understanding and their context of life. You do that, and you don't try speaking to them from your level or your level of understanding and the context of your life. People who have only lived a similar life to yours will be able to hear you if you speak only from your context. Thus to expand your influence and the potential audience that can listen and understand you, you must include their lives wi...

Why Sudbury? 338

Right now, I am attempting to secure a position at a sudbury school, and to work there long term. Why? So there are many reasons why. The work doesn't pay very much, so it isn't for the money. The first reason is that who I am as a person fits well in this school. So how I naturally am as a person. Open, honest, considerate, listening to others, being playful, making jokes, helping others, but also knowing when to be stern, especially when someone is doing something that is harmful/wrong, but also patient, mostly, though I am not perfect. Also working at a subdury school is unique in that my principles of equality among people, is applied in practice by having each student of each age, being equal under the rules and with the power to change those rules as anyone else, including me. I also have a high regard for the potential awareness and intelligence children can possess when they are respected, regarded, and given the ability to question, learn and understand through the e...

Equality among people 333

J'en ai des frissons... Posted by Jeremy Demay on Saturday, May 17, 2014 So in the above video, I am observing a very interesting point that I myself participated in. That is, believing that children are merely inputting and outputting everything we tell them, and that we are shaping them. So here I am questioning this point, because this is a very common belief, where all of our parenting guides and school systems are using this belief to teach and shape the children into what it is that is right, good or best. Now, having spent time with children who specifically have the freedom to explore themselves and their world, I am having a different point of view that is quite obvious actually. So with starting with the obvious, there have been many people that have grown up in abusive home environments, some that I know personally. These people all learned from their home environments and abusive parents, to not be like their parents, and to be different. This meant, n...

Democratic, Free or Sudbury schools

Image
These school models get my approval. I could describe it as a school were people ages 5-18 can be "destonians" in the sense that they are responsible for themselves, for their decisions, and therefore have to be self-directive, and so also self-regulate. They face the real world meaning that they face challenges, make mistakes, learn from them, and they have support available to them at all times, which they must take the initiative to ask for help. They are all equals in the community. Children are not inferior or superior based on age, talent or skill in some area, to anyone. Instead they get to intermingle among their ages, and they support one another in conversation, growing, expansion. So basically how we all should have acted since the beginning. The trick would seem then, to simply provide a support structure for children, instead of a forceful teaching regiment design to create a particular child, with particular skills and knowledge by your design. So just like wh...

Equalifying Equality 274

Image
So today's post will be about a mistake I have made within approaching equality. This is a recurring mistake because the source of it is embedded deep within my behavioral habits from this life. And I write this blog because it has come up again when looking at one of points regarding how I have acted in this life, and within correcting that action to something that is best for me. So I figure that some other people could be making the same mistake, so I figure that this will be a cool reminder for everyone. And I do have quite a bit of experience with this point. So, So qualifying what is equality. So equality means not only what is best for everyone else, but also best for you. I see this mistake where I mistake doing what is best for everyone and equality means placing what is best for everyone else first, occurring in my life because of what was present in my environment growing up. In my environment there were values present and judgments on things that were called evil. ...

Are people just means to an End? A look into Kant's Categorical Imperative (day 184)

Image
I attended Reed College. In my freshman year I took the introduction to ethics course. In the course we covered Mill's Utilitarianism, Kant's Categorical Imperative, and Aristotle's Nicomachean ethics. I would like to share what I saw as important for human beings to be aware, which I received from reading the works done by these men. These important things are still relevant today in my life, and how I live. I copied and pasted a section from wikipedia on Kant's Moral Philosophy. I suggest for the reader to read through it, even if you may not understand everything completely, so to at least have an idea. I will then explain how I understood Kant's philosophy in my own words, and by examples.     Section from Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immanuel_Kant#Moral_philosophy Kant is known for his theory that there is a single moral obligation , which he called the " Categorical Imperative ", and is derived from the concept of duty . Ka...

Sharing how I use the physical to support myself to be here. D105

So im going to make this blog about reviewing over a helpful thing that I do to support me to stand and direct myself to not fall into the mind, in moments such as video game playing and porn viewing in moments where it is not appropriate. So just to say it, I bring myself to the physical. To be frank, I rediscovered this point within masturbation. I say rediscovered because I have applied this point before but I had stopped, mainly out of fear of this point that it may have been fake or untrustworthy. So it was the mind convincing me that something that was supporting me was actually bad or harming me. So just to talk about the point of masturbation a bit, to make it an little of an introduction, I have been practicing masturbation as a point of being here with my body and directing and moving myself without image or thoughts. So when I do this the objective is to not be thinking of any man, women, any sexual, nothing. So totally no thought. So what I would sometim...

To Love -D99

During the last 2 days I have been exploring some points within myself. I decided to start over and give myself a do over with myself. To start from scratch. So Im no longer accepting any thought as valid. So I bring this up because I am looking now at the point of morality and how this has served me, and how it is proving very useful to me. Now, in my mind, and perhaps in the mind of all men, there are certain things, which we may judge as Ok, or acceptable. Porn could be one of those points. For me, I can't explain it in any other way, but porn is unacceptable because of the message you are giving for seeing women and men as inferior, and as less than who they really are. We are not images, we are more than just that. So there is something wrong within reacting to the image of the women and seeing just the image and nothing else. The same goes for men. So, from the point of view of the mind, there is nothing wrong, because no one is getting physically hurt. But I know something h...

day 88 - Facing another challenge

Real world challenges. Picking a career. So I have received my liberal arts degree in psychology. I wish to further my studies to strengthen my position and influence in the world. I have been primarily trained in researching and overall critical thinking and problem solving. One thing college does not teach you or show you, is how the mind functions. This I am learning with Desteni. I have my mind of course, and I can observe it. I can also stop participation in it in a moment. I can move myself in the physical. I can breathe. I can stop participation in energies, in a moment. I can also participate in  the mind, but this is something I do not want to do, because it will strengthen the mind and give the mind more power to decide who I am and what I do/participate within. I notice that every time I allow a thought, the mind gets stronger. I also remember that every time I say no, I get stronger, and I take more responsibility. I notice it is better to not participate in the mind ...
