Honesty and Idealism

The Ideal world. What does it mean to be an idealist in this world? To be an idealist, according to me, is to have the ideal set within you. Where your ideal is your honest ideal. It is not the ideal that conflicts with who you are on a deep level of self, really want. And on that level you want what is best for everyone. This ideal is in fact the same for everyone in principle. There are slight variations in wording and phrasing, but the essence of it is the same message. What is my ideal world/situation. Ideally everyone is taken care of, and everyone has the willingness and the motivation to care for their individual self and that of others. That the product of everyone being cared for is done through everyone caring for their individual self and others. Now, the question is how do we make sure a world possible? You obviously need to start with yourself, and those who are already willing to become such a person. That you assist and support them, and you assist and support yourself...

Life will find a way...

The world is a tough place. But there is a promise that things can get better... if we make it so. Realistically, most people out there won't help in some endeavor that will actually change how life is. Most people are profiting from how life is not, either financially, emotionally or personally. But there is a promise that things can change, and that is given by a few people. These few are willing to help, and willing to learn and become the change that is needed. So things aren't so bad when you look at it. At least you got a chance. And we each have that chance. I mean you are alive, right? You have a chance. Its better to have it than not. Life will find a way, because WE will find a way.

Analyzing fear reactions to Paris Attack

So this blog post is not about the violence that occurred in Paris. Instead it is about our reactions to it. So the way I see it, the Paris attack created a mini war situation. Meaning that the explosions and shootings is what happens in war. So one question is why are we afraid when we hear what happened? Because, for me, when I look at people living in war situations, how come we don't feel the same fear when we hear of 200 people dead in Syria, or Afghanistan, Iraq, etc... Why don't we experience the same fear? The answer is simple, because it occurred in Europe, in a first world country and city. Because the fear you feel is a fear about your own safety. So what you feel now is about compassion or caring about others, but is a point of self-interest and survival. Because if you did in fact feel compassion for others in war situations, then we would feel the same way for the wars that are going on now in Africa, and the Middle East, and elsewhere in the world. A second...

What is purpose, money?

Money Money Money is something difficult/challenging to work with. It is one of those top things that possess people in general. Another one of those things is romances/sex. If you observe people, you can see how people are morphed and changed when making money. That how they become and change with making money carries into their personality, in such a way that it is always present in their life. It might involve becoming hard, tough, harsh. It may involve becoming stressed, nervous, worried, anxious. And it will eventually manifest in their bodies, in the coloration of their eyes, their skin, in their facial complexion. It will change how they walk, talk, move, and lack of sleep. It can possess your thoughts, your imaginations, desires, and memories. You can self-reflect to see how true this is for you. Money is one of those challenges in life that must be faced and overcome. Facing and overcoming it doesn't necessarily mean becoming rich/wealthy. No. It means being able to ...

Are you continuously creating who you are?

Understanding your emotions and feelings is a tricky thing. It requires time to investigate them, to understand why you are feeling a certain way, to see whether it is something you really want to feel, or to see whether it actually makes any sense to feel that way. But if you spend the time to understand them, you gain the power and ability to change them into something better that is an expression of who you are. Sometimes you will find that it doesn't make any sense to feel a certain way. Like with feeling irritated with having to wait for something/someone. Because you self-honestly know that feeling irritated while waiting doesn't make any sense, even though you may have excuses and justifications for it. And when you do change how you feel, and stop certain emotions/feelings, your life can become better, where you actually gain back the power to create your life exactly how you want it, and become the exact person that is the best version of yourself possible. And thi...

To care is scary

To care is scary..... it is scary because you have to give up freedom. To care means to be a servant. Imagine or remember caring for something/someone. You had to support them. That is not freedom, or free to choose or do what you want to do. That is being there for them, to support them, care for them. If you want to be free in every moment, then you can never care for someone, or have them ever trust you. Because to care for someone and to gain someone's trust means that you are committed to them. Being committed to them, means that you are not free to break that commitment. Freedom then is overrated because obviously, breaking commitments/promises, is not something desirable for you or for those around you. You want to be surrounded by people you can trust, that are dependable. You want to be a trustworthy person. For some reason, fear exists when it comes to losing freedom. Even if that is the freedom to abuse and to break promises/commitments. Freedom then is something...

Meeting someone where they are at

So in life, you will meet all sorts of people. Some will be rare individuals that find the nugget of truth within everything that is shared/spoken. Others will be the more common person that tends to hold onto what is their normal beliefs. The question to ask in any moment is who am I in this moment? Because you have the choice to meet someone, no matter who they are, according to where they are at, and so not according to you, or to your likes, preferences etc... So you do put them first. What does this mean practically in reality? That you speak to them on their level, within their understanding and their context of life. You do that, and you don't try speaking to them from your level or your level of understanding and the context of your life. People who have only lived a similar life to yours will be able to hear you if you speak only from your context. Thus to expand your influence and the potential audience that can listen and understand you, you must include their lives wi...

Human Potential 405

We are each of us born with great potential. What is this potential? It is the power and ability to become something. You have the power to create this world the world how you want it, but there is a catch, so can everyone else. So it is a catch 22. You have power, but so does everyone else. That is why the only answer that can exist and work for everyone is to do what is best for everyone. We can all agree there. Our potential is already here at our finger tips. We just require the will to move it, and make it so. The ability to learn, do, see, remember, is part of your very self and body. You can learn and do anything. However it takes time. And it takes luck. Some of us unfortunately don't have a say or power to express as much as others, due to the environment. Yet even within that you have the power to decide how you are, and thus who you are. Even in the worst slavery, you have that power. And this will surely create ripple effects in the people around you. The greatest power...

I know

I know! I know. I knowwwww!!!!!! I know, I know, I know. Stop telling me, I know!!!!!!! I don't know what I am doing. I don't know what I am going to do. I don't know!   Have you ever felt this way? I have. I felt stressed, annoyed irritated, shameful, confused, lost, worried, afraid and despair. Why does this happen? The best thing to do is to look at a memory to figure out this question. So I remember when I was learning to drive and my father was teaching me. He was telling me something I already knew, so I told him I know, I know! I felt annoyed irritated and angry. I didn't like him telling me something I already knew because I FELT that he thought I didn't know that, and I FELT stupid in his eyes, even though in reality that is not the case. So I let what I felt as a reaction get the better of me in that moment, where I trusted this insecurity and self-judgement that rose within me. I know that this is connected to time in the classroom where I judged ...

Fear

With Halloween approaching near, I figure it would be good to address fearful things, such as scary movies. I remember when I was young, I had a babysitter that watched a scary movie on TV. I was very scared, and had nightmares about that movie for many years. It was only when I was 18 did I really confront these fears, understand them and dispel them. Now I can enjoy fear in a playful way, such as with friends for example. For most parents, it seems better to prevent your child from seeing a scary movie until they are ready. One question that seems unclear is, when are they ready? Taking my own life as an example, no adult sat down with me to explain what fear is, what movies were, how movies were fabricated and fake, and how to also calm yourself down at will. It was only when I was 18 years old that I made the conscious decision to understand fear, and to be able to direct how I feel in a moment. However, I saw myself as perfectly capable of understanding and investigating this si...

I want to see the world change. Do you?

I want to see the world change. I want to see everyone standing up, coming together, and change how things work. I want to see people being selfless by doing the work, making the sacrifice/commitment to the work and positions within a society that does what is best for everyone. I want to see the young people standing up, I want to see the old generations standing up. I want to see everyone from every background and culture uniting for this one purpose; our common ground, which is the land we stand upon. That we fix the money system, that we cover all the holes that leak. That no more do people fall through the cracks into poverty into making decisions that are bad for them that go against their real talents and life purpose. No one should have to work to make money to survive.  Survival is outdated. We haven't had to survive for centuries! We have been living in an age of abundance for so long. At this point survival is artificial, its not real. But we have been accepting and allo...

Day 401 Corruption is...

Corruption is an action that is not best for all, with intent. Corruption then is found everywhere. How do you stop/prevent corruption? By not accepting and allowing it. You must be aware, watch, restrict, handle all the aspects of the situation, except that which is outside of your power. When it comes to corruption with money, you must make sure to hold people accountable/responsible. You must only accept and allow actions/points that are best for all. If someone betrays your trust, then you must take the appropriate steps for someone who you don't trust. They lose access to things that require responsibility. All of this is commonsense.

Day 400 - Series: Looking Back to the past Part 1

I figure it would be cool to check out old posts and review/expand them. From April 14 2012, http://yoganjourneytolife.blogspot.com/2012/04/1st-day-april-14th.html "I forgive myself for accepting and allowing myself to generate emotions while watching the tv show supernatural. Allocation/Distribution of Money 339

The Allocation or Distribution of Money is a hot topic. When we talk about some group of people deciding how the money of a country is spent. Does that seem strange to you? Like, for example, let's say that I say to you, let us all get together, get organized and become the leaders that decide how money is spent in this country. Would that seem strange to you? Well, believe it or not, in every single country, and society, and within every level of government and business, someone or some group of people are deciding how ALL of the money is spent. Essentially every major decision is influenced by the funding. Now, why would it seem so crazy that citizens of a country or government come together to decide how money is spent, distributed or allocated? Is that so far fetched? Yet it happens daily, that someone who is a citizen, and also a politician is voting on how money is spent. They vote yes on wars, which is funded. So in reality, the sessions in congress, or your government...

Why Sudbury? 338

Right now, I am attempting to secure a position at a sudbury school, and to work there long term. Why? So there are many reasons why. The work doesn't pay very much, so it isn't for the money. The first reason is that who I am as a person fits well in this school. So how I naturally am as a person. Open, honest, considerate, listening to others, being playful, making jokes, helping others, but also knowing when to be stern, especially when someone is doing something that is harmful/wrong, but also patient, mostly, though I am not perfect. Also working at a subdury school is unique in that my principles of equality among people, is applied in practice by having each student of each age, being equal under the rules and with the power to change those rules as anyone else, including me. I also have a high regard for the potential awareness and intelligence children can possess when they are respected, regarded, and given the ability to question, learn and understand through the e...

What would you do if you had a Living Income?

The Living Income is term used by the Equal Life Foundation. To give a very simple definition and use for the word, consider this: Living Income is money granted to you for the purpose of fulfilling you requirement of certain things needed to Live. So here, pretend that your basic needs are met. That means that your rent/mortgage is covered. Your bills for food, electricity, water, heating, transportation are covered. That you could basically sit all day at home and do nothing, and you could live given that you don't kill yourself, and remember to feed yourself (mom's with young adult sons can attest to the dangers of forgetting to eat -joke). Now the question here is what would you do? So for me, in short number of words, I would continue with pushing for human rights, dignity, respect and education. I would support other people in living their lives and reaching their utmost potential. That is what I do today. The difference is that I wouldn't have any concern or thou...

You laugh at Yourself 336

Image
For quite some time I have reacted to various popular tv shows and movies. These include the simpsons, Family guy, and such movies as Ted, or A Million ways to die in the west. Now, having reflected on what I am reacting to and how I am reacting to, I can see now what is actually happening. We as humanity are laughing at characters that are psychologically deranged, crazy, or have some serious mental illness or faults. These individuals lack commonsense, principles, and are often driven purely by base reaction, and desire for self-pleasure and self-interest. They are narrow-minded, limited, and completely egotistical, and conform to arbitrary rules and authority as if lacking the ability to see and analyze the world around them for what it is. These are characters that are often driven by sex, within self-interest and disregard for the one you are having sex with. They often are self-loathing, self-debilitating, self-destructive, selfish, etc... They lack all care and regard for the ...

It doesn't matter what other people think of you 335

What only matters is what you are thinking about yourself. If you are having thoughts about yourself, that is affecting you directly. Your thoughts is what you think when you think about what other people think of you. desteniiprocess.com

Whether to risk your life for someone 334

Image
Where and When to risk your life for someone. So the perspective I am about to give, is based within the point of measuring each person by whether they stand within principles and values that considers everyone/Life. Because such people would have greater value than someone who stands within disregarding everyone. And so, in essence, people who have greater value through who they are, should be safe guarded and protected above all others. And so when you see someone in trouble where you have to risk your life, you have to assess your own value and that person's value, along with any and all relevant practical considerations, and side effects. One example is children, since they are still in the process of developing themselves and are not as set in stone as adults in their ways. Also, to consider whether they are someone that is integral in some project or endeavour which grants them value. So all of this you would have to consider, and ideally be aware of BEFORE the life-thr...

Equality among people 333

J'en ai des frissons... Posted by Jeremy Demay on Saturday, May 17, 2014 So in the above video, I am observing a very interesting point that I myself participated in. That is, believing that children are merely inputting and outputting everything we tell them, and that we are shaping them. So here I am questioning this point, because this is a very common belief, where all of our parenting guides and school systems are using this belief to teach and shape the children into what it is that is right, good or best. Now, having spent time with children who specifically have the freedom to explore themselves and their world, I am having a different point of view that is quite obvious actually. So with starting with the obvious, there have been many people that have grown up in abusive home environments, some that I know personally. These people all learned from their home environments and abusive parents, to not be like their parents, and to be different. This meant, n...
