Meeting someone where they are at

So in life, you will meet all sorts of people. Some will be rare individuals that find the nugget of truth within everything that is shared/spoken. Others will be the more common person that tends to hold onto what is their normal beliefs. The question to ask in any moment is who am I in this moment? Because you have the choice to meet someone, no matter who they are, according to where they are at, and so not according to you, or to your likes, preferences etc... So you do put them first. What does this mean practically in reality? That you speak to them on their level, within their understanding and their context of life. You do that, and you don't try speaking to them from your level or your level of understanding and the context of your life. People who have only lived a similar life to yours will be able to hear you if you speak only from your context. Thus to expand your influence and the potential audience that can listen and understand you, you must include their lives wi

Human Potential 405

We are each of us born with great potential. What is this potential? It is the power and ability to become something. You have the power to create this world the world how you want it, but there is a catch, so can everyone else. So it is a catch 22. You have power, but so does everyone else. That is why the only answer that can exist and work for everyone is to do what is best for everyone. We can all agree there. Our potential is already here at our finger tips. We just require the will to move it, and make it so. The ability to learn, do, see, remember, is part of your very self and body. You can learn and do anything. However it takes time. And it takes luck. Some of us unfortunately don't have a say or power to express as much as others, due to the environment. Yet even within that you have the power to decide how you are, and thus who you are. Even in the worst slavery, you have that power. And this will surely create ripple effects in the people around you. The greatest power

I know

I know! I know. I knowwwww!!!!!! I know, I know, I know. Stop telling me, I know!!!!!!! I don't know what I am doing. I don't know what I am going to do. I don't know!   Have you ever felt this way? I have. I felt stressed, annoyed irritated, shameful, confused, lost, worried, afraid and despair. Why does this happen? The best thing to do is to look at a memory to figure out this question. So I remember when I was learning to drive and my father was teaching me. He was telling me something I already knew, so I told him I know, I know! I felt annoyed irritated and angry. I didn't like him telling me something I already knew because I FELT that he thought I didn't know that, and I FELT stupid in his eyes, even though in reality that is not the case. So I let what I felt as a reaction get the better of me in that moment, where I trusted this insecurity and self-judgement that rose within me. I know that this is connected to time in the classroom where I judged

Fear

With Halloween approaching near, I figure it would be good to address fearful things, such as scary movies. I remember when I was young, I had a babysitter that watched a scary movie on TV. I was very scared, and had nightmares about that movie for many years. It was only when I was 18 did I really confront these fears, understand them and dispel them. Now I can enjoy fear in a playful way, such as with friends for example. For most parents, it seems better to prevent your child from seeing a scary movie until they are ready. One question that seems unclear is, when are they ready? Taking my own life as an example, no adult sat down with me to explain what fear is, what movies were, how movies were fabricated and fake, and how to also calm yourself down at will. It was only when I was 18 years old that I made the conscious decision to understand fear, and to be able to direct how I feel in a moment. However, I saw myself as perfectly capable of understanding and investigating this si

I want to see the world change. Do you?

I want to see the world change. I want to see everyone standing up, coming together, and change how things work. I want to see people being selfless by doing the work, making the sacrifice/commitment to the work and positions within a society that does what is best for everyone. I want to see the young people standing up, I want to see the old generations standing up. I want to see everyone from every background and culture uniting for this one purpose; our common ground, which is the land we stand upon. That we fix the money system, that we cover all the holes that leak. That no more do people fall through the cracks into poverty into making decisions that are bad for them that go against their real talents and life purpose. No one should have to work to make money to survive.  Survival is outdated. We haven't had to survive for centuries! We have been living in an age of abundance for so long. At this point survival is artificial, its not real. But we have been accepting and allo

Day 401 Corruption is...

Corruption is an action that is not best for all, with intent. Corruption then is found everywhere. How do you stop/prevent corruption? By not accepting and allowing it. You must be aware, watch, restrict, handle all the aspects of the situation, except that which is outside of your power. When it comes to corruption with money, you must make sure to hold people accountable/responsible. You must only accept and allow actions/points that are best for all. If someone betrays your trust, then you must take the appropriate steps for someone who you don't trust. They lose access to things that require responsibility. All of this is commonsense.

Day 400 - Series: Looking Back to the past Part 1

I figure it would be cool to check out old posts and review/expand them. Allocation/Distribution of Money 339

The Allocation or Distribution of Money is a hot topic. When we talk about some group of people deciding how the money of a country is spent. Does that seem strange to you? Like, for example, let's say that I say to you, let us all get together, get organized and become the leaders that decide how money is spent in this country. Would that seem strange to you? Well, believe it or not, in every single country, and society, and within every level of government and business, someone or some group of people are deciding how ALL of the money is spent. Essentially every major decision is influenced by the funding. Now, why would it seem so crazy that citizens of a country or government come together to decide how money is spent, distributed or allocated? Is that so far fetched? Yet it happens daily, that someone who is a citizen, and also a politician is voting on how money is spent. They vote yes on wars, which is funded. So in reality, the sessions in congress, or your government

Why Sudbury? 338

Right now, I am attempting to secure a position at a sudbury school, and to work there long term. Why? So there are many reasons why. The work doesn't pay very much, so it isn't for the money. The first reason is that who I am as a person fits well in this school. So how I naturally am as a person. Open, honest, considerate, listening to others, being playful, making jokes, helping others, but also knowing when to be stern, especially when someone is doing something that is harmful/wrong, but also patient, mostly, though I am not perfect. Also working at a subdury school is unique in that my principles of equality among people, is applied in practice by having each student of each age, being equal under the rules and with the power to change those rules as anyone else, including me. I also have a high regard for the potential awareness and intelligence children can possess when they are respected, regarded, and given the ability to question, learn and understand through the e
